This is a “snow garden”. These kinds of places are to be found in alpine ski resorts at the base of the great ski slopes. They are mostly for little children who have not even begun to walk. They use to come to this enclosed place, filled with genuine snow, to play and fall in the snow while wearing their tiny skies…in a word, they are really happy enjoying it.
On December 30th 2015 this place looked extremely sad because of the lack of snow in full winter. But everything is a consequence of major climate changes which take place on Earth.
It was really difficult for me to choose this image as the favorite of the week to many other more spectacular and appealing ones. However, I decided to choose it because in that moment I had some flashes from old times, back in my childhood. It seems that the modern and over-technologized lifestyle (full of metals, smoke, speed and which is also unnatural super-interconnected) stole the joy of our nowadays children. During the winter this simple joy used to mean a snowman, a great snow fight or to enjoy playing among built snow castles. Probably today, children are not that happy, even if they have this historic chance that even before they start to walk or speak they are able to touch with their finger the “Skip add” button in order to stop the advertising which could bother them from watching modern cartoons on various displays in front of which they stay too long. And moreover, in these modern cartoons are even presented the components of this high-tech lifestyle, mentioned above.
P.S: I do not want you to understand from this article that I am an enemy of modern lifestyle or nowadays amazing technologies. Quite the contrary! But I believe that everything has to be done in such a way that mountains and the nature itself should not be affected. Simply because we , the humans, are the nature.
